Mountain Biking and Hiking:
The amazing and serene beauty of the hiking and biking trails make this area a major destination for many outdoor activities. See below for more information!
Sierraville/Loyalton Area:
Sierra Hot Springs For almost 150 years, this land has hosted popular hot springs resorts. The spring water here is as smooth as silk and the pools are a true experience! The Sauna is lovely, and their “Philosophy Cafe” serves amazing, nourishing local food, always with vegan and restricted diet options.
The Drifter’s Table (one of our favorite restaurants, perfect for date night.)
The Brewing Lair (Graeagle Area) The Brewing Lair is located on 15 acres of forested land in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Come hang out at the brewery for an afternoon to sip on craft beers and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Pack up your kids, a picnic and the dog, and enjoy the fresh mountain air at The Brewing Lair.
Kayaking, SUP and Watersports
Heartspace has a variety of kayaks, Stand-up Paddleboards and other water toys available for free or rent. Please contact one of our hosts to inquire!
Skiing and Snow Sports
Whether you just want to play in the snow in one of the many close-by areas for sledding and snow play, or you’re a hardcore skiier/snowboarder, this area has it all. HeartSpace is also close to several world-renowned ski resorts in the Truckee and Tahoe areas.

Healers and Massage Therapists:
The Nevada City area is famous for its healers, healing modalities, and health-focused events and accessibility to holistic and alternative lifestyles.
A Nevada City legend, Om Hanna uses energy, sound, bodywork, and various other multiple modalities to bring you many forms of healing - sometimes, the healing you didn’t know you needed. (May be able to come on site for an additional fee.)
Sara Silver is a California licensed massage therapist with 15 years of experience, specializing in neck and shoulder release using various techniques such as Craniosacral Therapy, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Orthobionomy, Sound Healing and Essential oils. With a highly intuitive touch, her work has been appreciated for a deep, focused, and detailed approach.
She has a studio space in Grass Valley, but is also available for on-site massage and housecalls within the area for an additional fee. As Sara is fond of saying “Give Thanks for Life!”

Vela is a day retreat serving Grass Valley, Nevada City, and surrounding areas. They offer professional massage, sugar scrubs, all-natural facials, and waxing in spacious, beautiful rooms. Their massage and facial services include a complimentary steam sauna session in the communal, outdoor facilities privately set amongst the trees. We also offer private Infrared Sauna sessions at an additional charge. They can accommodate up to 7 massages at a time allowing you and your friends to be in a state of bliss together.
